"Every once in a while, a new technology, an old problem, and a big idea turn into an innovation." - Dean Kamen, Inventor of Segway
Welcome to Innovation Station
A resource guide for Washington State Innovators
Where Innovation Meets Opportunity
Government agencies are faced with a variety of technical challenges that need to be addressed quickly and cannot be solved using standard procurement contracting methods. These agencies know the private sector is developing or could develop solutions to many of these challenges. Avenues have been created that allow non-traditional suppliers - such as engineers, scientists and research and development firms - to work with government agencies in order to help solve these challenges.

Innovation Station is a portal where Washington State based R&D entrepreneurs can learn about these avenues and if their solution could benefit the nation.
You will find at the Station:
-
Details on the SBIR Seed Fund program as well as other funding opportunities
-
Universities and Laboratories to partner with
-
Technical Assistance for navigating the process
